A
long long time ago in the 1970s it was believed that koalas had an
addiction to gum leaves. This addiction, was by some believed to have
been caused by a euphoric state brought on after the consumption of gum
leaves. Having a look at the sleepy slow persona of our little grey
friends one can wonder if there is a slight bit of truth in it. A lot
of the humour is based on this and the illegalities in trying to gain
better gum leaves from other areas. Smuggling past the rangers and
convincing them they were still normal unaffected koalas. The effect
that modern society has placed on our wildlife has encouraged me to
write this and Bogga Road Bill another cynical look at the relationship
between man and animal. The question I hope this comic puts in peoples
mind is what is a wild animal? Why can a dog and other animals live in
society but a koala or other native animals have to live in rugged
bushland (no TV, choccies or knitted jackets for them). Or so they
think!
